Finding Texas Unclaimed Money

Texas unclaimed money is estimated to be in the multi millions.

Considering that many states try to hide these unclaimed funds from their citizens, it is refreshing to see local newspapers jumping into the action and helping resident find their unclaimed money in Texas.

The following story comes from the Daily Times:

The Texas Comptroller’s Office has published its annual list of unclaimed property, which includes the names of 152,000 people in the state who have at least $250 owed to them.

The Daily Times now has a copy of the list available at its front desk.

The unclaimed property could include a dormant bank account, a forgotten utility deposit, uncashed check, unclaimed investment income, securities, or family heirlooms from an abandoned safe deposit box.
